Lecture before students in the course at the School of International Welding Engineers at the Technical University - Sofia

On 16.10.2020 Engineer Marusya Georgieva and Engineer Iliya Shivachev delivered a lecture before the students at the School of International Welding Engineers at the Technical University - Sofia with the following subject: “Guiding steelwork structure for the building of a bridge facility (Launching nose) – Production and installation within the quality assurance systems implemented and maintained by STRIMONA for ensuring conformity with the requirements of the active standards – ISO 9001:2015; EN 1090-2; EN 3834-2”.
The lecture took place by the invitation of Prof. Alexander Zhelev and Assoc. Prof. Georgi Saev after their visit of the STEELWORK STRUCTURE FACTORY of STRIMONA in the town of Petrich, aimed at getting familiarized with the process of manufacture on the spot and more specifically focused on the quality assurance at the stage of welding of the steel structures and observance of the active standards. During that period (the end of 2019) the manufacture that was in process at the factory was that of the guiding steelwork structure for building a bridge above Main Road E 79, the Struma river and Sofia – Kulata Railway Line as part of the site performed by GLAVBOLGARSTROY HOLDING: “Design and construction of Struma Highway Lot 3.1, Zheleznitsa (Railway) Tunnel.

The materials for the lecture were prepared by Eng. Marusya Georgieva – Engineer in welding at STRIMONA and Head of the Technical Monitoring and Control Department, with the assistance of Eng. Iliya Shivachev.

The team of STRIMONA is especially proud of the fact that the material prepared was extremely well accepted by the students and highly evaluated personally by Prof. Alexander Zhelev – a reputable factor and one of the most respected and renowned world-class scholars working in the field of Welding.

Another proof of that is the fact that in the future the lecture will be included in the academic material studied by students at the School of International Welding Engineers at the Technical University - Sofia in Module 4 – WELDING PRODUCTION.
